Use this page to download and install the BRS Tax Preparer program by Bold River Software, Inc.

Instructions:

1) Download the install program by clicking here.  (Install Now)

2) When you are prompted to Run or Save the install program, select Run. (See Security Warning 1 below)

3) Once the installation program is downloaded the web browser may prompt you with another Security Warning.  Select Run to begin the installation.  (See Security Warning 2 below)

4) Once the installation begins it will prompt you to accept the license agreement. To install the program you must select "I agree" then click the Next button. From here, continue to click the Next button until the installation is complete. On the last panel click the Finish button.

Security Warning 1:

Before downloading the install program the browser will ask you if you want to Run or Save the install program.  Select the Run button to start the install program automatically after it is downloaded. Otherwise you have to start it manually by finding it on your hard drive.

Security Warning 2:

After downloading the install program the browser will ask you if you want to run the install program. Notice that the install program has been stamped by our digital signature as being published by Bold River Software, Inc.  This digital signature assures that the install program was created by Bold River Software, Inc. and therefore can be trusted to run on your PC.

Note: This program is installed without any forms. You can install the forms from within the program itself as they are needed.  However, if you plan to use the program without an Internet connection you may want to install all of the form modules that you will need right away. Once installed the installed the forms can be used without an Internet connection.

• To install form modules from within the program, click the Install form modules link on the Welcome pane.
• To install form modules outside the program use the Form Downloads web page on this web site.  Note that this method is a bit more work and less automatic than installing them from within the program.
